☕ Quebexpo: AI Meets Industry Spirit

Quebexpo in Drummondville this week was an enriching experience! It was truly great to meet with the rental center owners of Quebec.

Quebexpo kicked off with a conference by Bruno Guglielminetti on AI. We witnessed a fascinating observation: when Bruno asked the room who had used AI at least once, about 25-30% of the people raised their hands. Then, he asked how many people used AI weekly. All the same hands went up.

That says a lot about the appeal of AI: initial curiosity quickly turns into regular use. It highlights the transformative potential of this technology. Following Bruno's conference, we had a discussion between several rental center owners, where they exchanged on how technology helps them or not with their current challenges.

The topics that came up:

• Customer service challenges: Rapidly evolving technologies can help us owners and employees to provide our best service without feeling overwhelmed.

• Process automation: Many ineffective solutions exist; we must choose the right ones for us and our challenges. Each rental center has its difficulties. But, the question remains, how to do more with less?

• Protecting against fraud: This is a particular challenge for which very effective technologies exist today.

I wanted to take this opportunity to remind you how we are in a great industry that supports each other. We observed several family businesses that are very successful and continue to grow, as well as MANY motivated owners. It is always pleasant to see these phenomena and have the chance to take the time to discuss together.
