Hey 👋
Lately, we can see a change in how we view the world and the future of the workforce. So many talks about AI, technology, evolution, promises of big change coming.
They’re not wrong—we really are entering a new era. After the industrial revolution, after the .com boom… now it’s the AI revolution coming in faster than any other revolution we’ve seen in the past.
Since ChatGPT launched publicly in 2022, AI has exploded. It’s not just tech circles anymore—it’s showing up in every kind of business. Whether you are in sales or customer service or even mechanic, AI can help you manage your work load and organize your information.
According to the 2024 Freshworks Global AI Workplace Report:
→ 72% of workers believe AI improves how they work
→ 81% say it increases productivity or quality of output
→ And companies using AI see up to 52% more productivity and 34% higher customer satisfaction
Now we can’t talk about evolution and tehcnology without mentionning the economic state in which we are in, we live in scary times.
Layoffs, inflation, recession odds nearing 60% (Source : J.P. Morgan).
There’s a lot of pressure out there.
We’ve had conversations with rental center owners lately, and the stories are all too familiar—people pulling extra hours, jumping back into the field, finding a way to stay afloat. No complaints, just doing what needs to be done.
But here’s what’s interesting: while the economy dips, AI investment is rising.
Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, Shopify… no one's slowing down. In fact, Shopify’s CEO even said he won’t approve more hiring unless someone can prove a job can’t be done by AI.
Whether we like it or not, AI isn’t a trend. It’s a tool—and maybe it can help save businesses.
We’ve seen rental businesses use it to take some pressure off:
Create FAQ-style internal tools—so your staff can find info without calling you 20 times a day.
Automate emails and customer responses—to save time on repetitive stuff
Use AI to help draft content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn—you stay visible, even on your busiest days. You wouldn’t believe the amount of followers you can get just by doing posts about your business on a regular basis.
Install chatbots on your site—answering client questions 24/7.
Triage customer service with AI call agents—so your team can focus on the most important calls.
This isn’t about replacing people. It’s about giving you and your team more breathing room.
So here’s the question we’ve been asking ourselves—and now we’re passing it to you:
My question for you this week is what can you do to maintain or grow your client base in this economic downturn?
What can you start implementing tomorrow to make your days easier and help your employees be more productive?
